Th answer in regards to the Spider web Browser are right .. how always nearly Hotels have a OPEN or Gratis wifi... the work effectually is a tablet that can see the roku downloaded setup file and if necessary enter a required password or synch it to the hotel wifi.
You lot can setup your personal hotspot on your phone and let the Roku connect via wifi that way too

You lot can take it, sure. It's portable enough.
However, if the hotel you lot're staying at requires you lot to accept Terms & Weather condition on a web folio earlier enabling Internet access (i.eastward. virtually hotels), then you won't be able to connect to the hotel WiFi to stream any videos. The Roku devices do NOT take a web browser, and every bit such cannot take the Terms & Conditions of public WiFi from various hotels, restaurants, and other hotspots. That means no videos in these places.

Yes, and don't worry about the hotel wifi. If you try to connect to 1 of those places that makes you sign in via a spider web browser the roku will recognize that and give you instructions on how to fix it upward through your smartphone or tablet. I simply used information technology at a Marriott this weekend no problem.

Actually, yous tin use information technology. It's only not user-friendly. You connect it, and once it's on the hotel network, you lot have to call tech back up and enquire them to pass it through automatically without requiring a login. They need your IP or MAC accost off the network setup screen. They'll do information technology for the duration of your stay. Non really worth it for one nighttime, but for an extended stay it is.
At ane hotel I stayed in I contacted the Wi-Fi service provider and told them I had a Roku device. They asked me some questions about where I was staying, which dates and I recollect the Roku's MAC address and they programmed it on their end to take my Roku so I didnt need a web browser. I too carry my own mini Wi-Fi router and connect it to the hotel's ethernet wired port if they have 1. Then I connect my Roku to my own local Wi-Fi network.
Yep y'all tin. We take this back and forth between our house and a beach house and information technology works neat. Remembers passwords and everything.
